There's a "new twist" in the world of cloud computing. According to a widely-circulated report from Bloomberg, companies in the U.K. and Canada are now adding language to their contracts with technology partners stipulating that their data can never be stored on U.S. soil ? something Bloomberg paints as a new reaction to revelations of NSA snooping from former government contractor CoLD Snowden. But the reality is that this new twist isn't all that new.
