<p>Toshiba's new OCZ VX500 SSD is a replacement for the Vector 180 that adopts a different controller to enable much better power management, support for 15nm MLC NAND and a lower price, but also lower performance in some cases. The VX500 is a mid-range SATA SSD intended to better serve the mainstream market segment while waiting for Toshiba's 3D NAND to arrive.</p>
