d**n it guys, you need to buy a bat signal. The whole thread stopped sending messages to my email for a while, so i didnt realize it had run amuck.
I will invite some friends if you like, who will most likely come...
I might also bring my new underage illegal hispanic girlfriend, but shes not really into gaming, nor does she speak enough english to really care about weddings. I'll find something for her to do if she does decide she wants to come [wink wink]
I think this should be a good idea for the game list.
- UT2004 [gametype will depend on the number of people we have]
- Counterstrike Source
- LOTR Battle for Middle Earth 2
- FEAR DM maybe, explanation in a sec...
- Star Wars something. I was considering Jedi Academy 2 or Battlefront 2
I was also thinking that we could all donate to the cause, because I know that hosting a decent LAN party and providing all food can cost a s**t ton.
The best way I can think of doing this is have everyone list on the forums what theyre bringing... so we dont have eighteen liters of pepsi and one package of potato chips.
Things that would be cool to bring would be:
- Some type of meat to throw on the grill
- A bottle of pop and a bag of chips
- Some hotdog/hamburger buns
- Paper plates / Silverware / Cups
- A young mexican female. [I think I'll take care of this one guys]
Also, The following Saturday after the party is a LAN in Charlotte. Its an all day lan, and it's in a hotel. Costs 10 bucks to get in... I'll probably spend the night there saturday night because I have some friends who are getting rooms. You guys could split a room or head for home, either way. I think the general idea is for everyone to drink alot after the lan. Meaning, I am going to f**king fall asleep.
Anyways, I have to go. I'll post some more info after work. |

| All I need is the direction to the location so i can get stuff setup quickly. As said B4 i'm coming with a 16port switch and 2 power strips. And some Grill help i suppose. Let's just hope the weather in fine for cooking out. |

| Well it's interesting that Katie is winning the votes, I think. Personally, I voted for Selma Hayek because I think it's just plain weird to answer any question regarding the hotness of your best friend's fiance.. But hey, I guess that 3 other people didn't see that weirdness, so that's cool. (I'd keep my eye on those guys Cold..) And on another note, there is no update as of yet as to where this is going to be. I have a feeling it will be one of those last minute location reveals. But, the good thing is that either way the locations aren't that far apart so it shouldn't make that much of a difference. Also, in case someone is closer to Greensboro than Reidsville (If that's where we have it) we may want to talk about carpooling, what with gas prices astronomical these days.. |
