<p>The desktop PC market has been subject to many challenges over the last few years. However, the miniaturization trend (including the introduction of the ultra-compact form factor - UCFF - NUCs) has provided some bright spots. The 'Mini Lake' reference design has usually been reserved for Atom-based platforms. ECS has decided to use a Core M processor in the same form factor in the ECS LIVA Core. This review presents results from our evaluation of the unit and sets expectations right on what consumers can expect from Core M in a desktop form factor.</p>
