Hi everyone. First, I just wanted to apologize if the server has been down when you've tried to use it recently. I added a SATA backplane and a few hard drives, as the 4 already in the system were completely full. It seems that the additional power requirements are too much for the current power supply in the machine. I've ordered a replacement power supply, very similar to the one in my desktop (PC Power & Cooling), but it isn't scheduled to arrive until next Tuesday. In the meantime I'm using two old power supplies connected to the hard drives and CPU separately. This is still not quite right, as I believe that I've basically broken both of these by overloading them at one point or another, so the power is still not very clean. Please bear with me as whenever the server crashes I will try and get it back up as soon as possible, unless I'm not here (or awake). So far, it looks like it's crashed overnight twice in a row. I'll try to use it as little as possible to minimize the risk.
Once again, I'm sorry.

Ok, I think I've traced the root of this problem to the motherboard. I believe something is overheating and afterwards performing improperly. So, I've ordered a new motherboard, CPU, and memory. The server will be much faster and responsive, and will only be down a day.... If I can get this backup and restore to work between the different hardware. If I can't, you may end up needing to re-sign up for your hotwirez.net email and such. The forum will not be affected by this (outside of being down during the upgrade/restore procedure), except possibly a few 'quirks' here and there. |

Ok, the server hardware upgrade is complete.. Unfortunately, the settings were not successfully restored from backup, so I'm rebuilding everything. You will need to contact me for email information later. |

Alright, guys.. I think we're all good now. There may be a few minor problems left, but it's almost completely back to normal now, only better! This server hovers at about 2% CPU usage with all of the services that are normally turned on running. (The old one hovered at about 20-40% with everything on.) Please come back and get involved again!
